Leon Restaurants

Leon Restaurants; are in my opinion, genius. Natural fast food that is healthy, delicious and affordable.

I work in the hustle and bustle of central London and long gone are the days of leisurely hour long lunches with a bottle of wine to wash down the main course. When I am being organised I try to prepare my own breakfasts and lunches for work in order to save some of the old pennies, but typically on a Monday morning this hasn’t happened…

This morning on the way to work I stopped at Leon to grab my take away breakfast. My order was a poached egg in a cup with toast and an orange juice. I was more than disappointed to sit down at my desk and discover the poached egg was covered in some sort of cream. I ate the buttered toast and drank the fresh orange juice and left the egg. I have had their poached egg in a cup before and have never been disappointed. I don’t leave myself enough time in the morning to have breakfast before work and it takes me a while to build up an appetite in the morning before I can digest food… A take-away egg and brown toast is a really healthy, yummy way of enjoying breakfast in the morning without having to sit down at a restaurant, cook yourself, or indulge in a chocolate croissant that you will instantly regret having.

Their breakfast menu caters to all, offering different types of egg pots including a full English pot. They do magic porridge pots; yogurt pots and a whole array of extras. Check out their menu: http://www.leonrestaurants.co.uk/menu/#breakfast

I went back this afternoon with my ‘faulty’ egg - the manager was really helpful, apologetic and gave me a refund and a lunch time wrap on the house. Result! It is often not the mistake that is made by a restaurant that leads to people not going back, but the way in which they deal with the mistake. They were so friendly  today that it would never deter me from going back. I went for a chargrilled chicken and chorizo wrap and this time I was not disappointed… The wrap was warm and full of flavour. The chorizo gave the wrap a bit of a kick, but nothing too overpowering. There was a nice crunch from the salad and just enough sauce in it without making it messy to eat.

There was a queue out of the door at lunch time which just shows how popular it is. Their lunchtime menu is just as versatile offering wraps; rice boxes, lunch boxes; salads and burgers: http://www.leonrestaurants.co.uk/menu/#lunch

A much healthier, more exciting option than the overpriced high-street coffee shop… Yes Starbucks, I am talking about you!

For on the go, healthy, flavoursome food Leon is the go to destination for breakfast and lunch.
